How to submit

Step 1 — Abstract (250–300 words)

Submit via ConfTool between 4 October 2027 and 21 January 2028, 23:59 CET.
Oral or poster.
English only.

Step 2 — Review and notification

Abstracts are reviewed by the ECCM23 scientific committee. Decisions are sent by 10 March 2028.

Step 3 — Full paper (LaTeX, 4–8 pages)

Accepted authors upload the full paper via ConfTool between 13 March and 12 May 2028, using the official
LaTeX template only.

Step 4 — Present in Dresden

Presenting authors must be registered participants.
Present your work 27–30 June 2028.

Oral and poster presentations are accepted.
Submission only via ConfTool. Abstracts sent by email are not accepted.
250–300 words; title and authors not counted. English only. No references required.
Reviewed by the ECCM23 scientific committee.

Submission rules

One abstract as first author / presenter; co-authorship on further contributions is allowed.
Do not split one study into two abstracts — this leads to rejection.
Presenting authors of accepted abstracts must register for ECCM23.
Accepted abstracts are invited as full papers and are included in the ECCM23 book of abstracts.

Full paper — LaTeX template & strict formatting

Full paper (LaTeX only)

The full paper is mandatory for inclusion in the proceedings. Use the official ECCM23 LaTeX template without modification. Word submissions are not accepted.

Strict formatting policy — papers that deviate are returned for correction or rejected:

Use the supplied LaTeX class/style files unchanged. Do not alter margins, fonts, font sizes, line spacing, the title block, headings or the bibliography style.
Do not add, remove or override packages beyond those listed in the template.
Length 4–8 pages including figures, tables and references. Over-length papers are not accepted.
Submit a single PDF compiled from the unmodified template, plus the LaTeX source if requested.
Embed all fonts; provide figures at print resolution; keep file size within the ConfTool limit.
English only. Title, authors and affiliations must match the abstract.

We apply this policy strictly to keep the proceedings consistent and to avoid rework. Please check your paper against the template before uploading.

Review & publication

Full papers undergo a multi-step review managed by the Saxon State and University Library (SLUB Dresden) on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, covering editorial management, review and publication.

The complete ECCM23 proceedings are published as one volume with a single DOI for the entire conference proceedings, an ISBN, and indexing on Scopus. Only submitted full papers are included in the proceedings.
